US Dept of Labor green-lights ESG integration

US-based retirement plans can consider climate change and other ESG factors in their investment processes, according to a rule change by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The announcement comes as the Securities and Exchange Commission fines Goldman Sachs Asset Management over ESG research and how it was applied to certain investment products.
